"You get what you give and the world is here to help." "It takes guts to be an entrepreneur." - Penny Parks
I was very lucky to meet Penny Parks, the President of Links-Financial, in my early days of moving to Tampa. She introduced me to Trinity Cafe and Make-A-Wish, two of the first organizations with which I volunteered in Tampa. I served on the Make-A-Wish Wishmaker's Ball Committee thanks to that introduction, which was my first philanthropic endeavor in what I now call my city. Penny walks into a room and commands attention with her fire-red hair, big, beautiful smile and warm energy. I just feel happy being in her presence. Lara D'Amico, Cecile Bare, Chelsea Drinkard, and I laughed a lot during Penny's On Fridays We Lunch! The main topic of conversation was the power of manifestation (one of my role models, Sara Blakely, preaches this). Penny encouraged us all to read The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. I usually read any book that someone I look up to suggests and I'm glad I did - I highly recommend it.
